Telepathic message, during the Awakened battle

We're not getting anywhere. These things aren't the real threat, and they're only going to keep coming.

Second round, pay attention.

If your username had a wheel, immediately look for people who are murdering these things with apparent experience. Keep finding more of them. Make sure a group can keep you safe. Stay away from the lockers.

If you had a pair of blades, find the people being most targeted and defend them. If these things get rid of us Navigators, you'll die easily.

Do that immediately.

And for everyone... We need to lure the true form of our enemy out. These rats are just meant to exhaust us.

If we can find a way to a larger area like the gymnasium, we should set up bait. Since these things want Navigators so badly, some of us should be what sets the trap.

[There's the sound of a mental sigh that whispers through everyone's minds.]

Unless anyone has any better ideas...

You were pretty content to sit back and let Kidou and that other navigator throw themselves away.

Without someone waiting to protect them, they would.

I fully intend on following my captain's orders to the very end. My sticking point is that there is no way I'm letting him go on his own. Do you think we're planning on standing right next to him? In a battle, discipline is necessary. You really think we don't understand that?

I'm not willing to throw away any of our number. That's where I draw the line.

I'm sorry, but you don't know what you're talking about.

Genda's discipline is something ingrained into all of us. Our team values skill and control. The problem with that is that thought is a lot harder to control than action.

When you told Kidou one of us had almost been eaten by a rat, were you talking about me?

[Just because he doesn't respond to everything doesn't mean he doesn't try to listen to all of it.]

"Let's have someone be bait" is only the first step of a plan. Were you planning on just letting them walk into it and leaving them to get eaten while the rest of us hang back and hum over what to do? Having a navigator stand there and wait for something to attack them is all well and good, but if you expect no one to volunteer to back them up when that happens, you're just throwing them away for absolutely no gain at all. One instead of many is a good plan, but when you can get away with no losses at all, it's foolish not to take that opportunity.

Maybe it seems strange to you that we're answering impulsively, but I'm sure you're aware what we're all doing right now.

I'm not sure you understand what kind of impression you're giving.

Either way, it doesn't matter. I'm done arguing. I'm on guard duty. That's it.
