Telepathic message, during the Awakened battle

We're not getting anywhere. These things aren't the real threat, and they're only going to keep coming.

Second round, pay attention.

If your username had a wheel, immediately look for people who are murdering these things with apparent experience. Keep finding more of them. Make sure a group can keep you safe. Stay away from the lockers.

If you had a pair of blades, find the people being most targeted and defend them. If these things get rid of us Navigators, you'll die easily.

Do that immediately.

And for everyone... We need to lure the true form of our enemy out. These rats are just meant to exhaust us.

If we can find a way to a larger area like the gymnasium, we should set up bait. Since these things want Navigators so badly, some of us should be what sets the trap.

[There's the sound of a mental sigh that whispers through everyone's minds.]

Unless anyone has any better ideas...

[ This voice has a strange metallic quality to it, as if the speaker was speaking through a mask or metal or has somehow managed to add the vibrations of metal to their words. ]

They're humans. Of course they're idiots.

We cannot afford to put too many Navigators into the trap. Some of us need to be a part of the outside jaws a well.

[ Balance was it? With such a large venue, and the inability to locate somewhere safe long enough to conjure a solid plan (with back ups in place) was near impossible. Especially with everyone in such disagreement.

Obviously, the first group (and of course the second) never focused on any team building exercises, else this problem wouldn't have blown out of proportion the way it did.
]

The objective is ta lure the true threat. [ Again, whatever that was. ] With as few volunteers as possible, and whatever safety measures are set in place fer the lure.

What methods are in place ta subdue the threat?

[ He's trying to be calm about this. He really is. ]

The rats are annoying, but they are also using up our resources as well. It would probably come out when it thinks we are without any more spells and are wounded. It's hard to judge what it can be affected by, I'm sure that we have numbers enough to bring it down.

Unless we keep on fighting over the methods.

[ There's a pause and a sense of satisfaction and heat before the voice comes back. ]

I haven't been using my spells and I think there are a few like me. That plus Combatants can bring serious harm to it. We just need the others to focus.

[ Heiji hasn't been using his spells either, but that's more denial than conservation. Nevertheless, he has either happened upon combatants or exterminated the rodents himself.

Still with the spells, and still Heiji doesn't agree with them either. He's strictly observing this from a logical standpoint, free of the distractions that he himself personally disagreed with. (At least for now.)
]

So not only do the volunteers need ta appear vulnerable, but so does everyone else? It would be easier to draw the remainder groups into closer quarters. One or two specifically set ta handle the distractions, [ rats ] and the rest fer the threat at hand.

Those with and without stamina should be spread amongst each other so no group wears out more quickly than the other ta avoid unnecessary injury.

It's a battle. I cannot begin to tell you just how confusing a battle can get, especially with new people in the lines. It wouldn't be too unreasonable if we actually end up fighting each other in the confusion.

[ There is a moment and a loud snort from ankh at the arguing from others. ]

This ends now. [ And he launches his own response to everything. ]
