After the vision, and realizing that they still have an hour before the curfew, a message shows up on their program...

Luci: Finally! Human minds can be so fragile...

Luci: You saw it, right? What do you think?

Luci: Does it make you angry or terrified?

Luci: I don't really care but if you answered yes to either of those, good!

Luci: I've got presents for you, lambs.

Luci: Once an apple falls from the tree, it's hard to stop gravity.

Luci: They will try.

Luci: Already a few of you didn't make it.

Luci: But you are all stronger than you look! Amazing, I know.

Luci: SO LISTEN UP! See that dot on the map?



Luci: No? Maybe arrows will help?



That's where you saw that vision.

Luci: It's just about twenty minutes away from the central part of Green Valley's fancy-ass school. You know the 'World Famous' apple orchards out in the back? The very first subway station?

Luci: If you want to know more about what you saw and any other questions that might be burning in your mind, I suggest you hop into the underground city subway and wait until midnight strikes then sneak out to it. Don't think the city will care for less than fifty people going there anyway. Staying after darkness is normal anyway, right?

Luci: When we get there, you'll get a brand new message.

Michi.

[Once he's filed into the room, he steps out from around Haruka. He's shorter, so if he's visible from around Haruka, likely it'd be the bottlebrush ponytail of dreads betraying his presence.

Michi finds himself staring at the bottles curiously. What are they? Someone isn't paying as strictly close attention to what's going on around him as he technically should. Michi should get her name. He does not get her name. He goes right into satisfying his curiosity, instead.]

What is that stuff, anyway?

Be careful. It's probably explosive.

[They hadn't had as much leisure to go into detail about the purpose of this side-trip on the way here, partly due to the shorter trip and partly likely due to Haruka's driving, which has suffered quite a lot from both lack of traction and lack of any chill whatsoever.

For the moment, Haruka moves further into the lab as well -- Ryann's grin concerns him a little, even if it's familiar from the times she's come up with something both terrible and terribly original -- and begins getting together anything that doesn't look like it will singe his eyebrows off if he looks at it wrong.]

Ryann, which of these are safe to handle? We'll help.

[He's accidentally volunteered Michi at this point, but all of them are likely united in wanting to get moving as soon as they can. Midnight is fast approaching.]

[That's saying the least, Haruka.

She bundles up a few in cloth.] These. Even if they break, they'll be flammable, but not explode. [So, yes, nice to meet you, Michi. This is your resident chemist pyromaniac.] Just tie them up snug at the back of your scooter. Now, if we really want to get down to making a fertilizer bomb, you'll want to be more careful with those.

Not that I could make that many. It's tricky to contain the reaction.

[That's science for 'I may make it explode in my face by accident'.] You, Michi-- cart out the water tanks, someone's gonna pick it up later.

[If either one is watching Michi while she's talking, they might catch his eyes go completely wide at the mention of a fertilizer bomb. He looks around himself with a little more alarm than curiosity this time, and almost starts at his name.]

What - uh, yeah, okay. I can do that. These tanks here? Where to?

[He says, already preparing to lift one. It looks like a water tank, anyway.]

[Haruka hasn't been watching Michi, himself, too busy checking the knots and hefting to test the weight on the bundles Ryann has just put together -- considering how his scooter will take them and whether they'll need more padding. But he remembers the death grip around his middle on the way here and their prior conversations.

(He doesn't say Don't worry, she knows what she's doing, because that's debatable, or Don't worry, we'll take care of it, because if Michi isn't armed they might have to arm him. They have to be realistic, even if none of this is realistic in the slightest.)

He nods at Ryann after a moment more of thought.]

We left the fertilizer and gasoline by the door. [no need to tempt fate by bringing them into the lab right off, he's walked in on Ryann blowing herself up enough times] You can tell me what to do.

[He's no chemist, but he's been here enough he at least counts as a lab assistant. If they're going to throw bombs together in the remaining time, he's willing to get his hands dirty.]
