okay so if anyone is still trying to replace their phone either thanks to trying to get rid of this app or through actions taken as a result of this app that may have resulted in the destruction of their phones

Funny thing about the app--it was kind of hard to talk about it at first. No one's said anything to me, I couldn't say anything to them.

I was doing my best to avoid responsibilities, but then this app comes along and makes it really hard.

That's how I felt, too. I was really worried Natsume would find out I have it for some reason, but not in a normal way. I met someone else with it once, but we only realized because he had his phone out.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Hard to avoid responsibilities when an app's breathing down your neck about something.

Just you guys? Not your mom? Only other one I've met in person was a kid I'm really just guessing at.

I checked mom's phone! She doesn't have it. It's on Natsume's, so then I tried to ask her...and she told me to stop making things up.

[Given Ayu's track record, it's not surprising that her mom doesn't believe her. Crying wolf. That's what she's doing. She still sounds upset about not being believed.]

For once in my life, I've run into something that's way out of my wheelhouse. Last time that happened, I was five and found an 8-track, go figure.

I got the feeling she was about to get really angry. It was kind of...I don't really see her get angry often. She's really nice to Natsume and I.

What's an 8-track? Is that some sort of ancient technology forsaken by both the gods and modern man?

Yeah, yeah...don't push it. I can try to cover for you guys if I have to. Wouldn't be the first time I've contributed to delinquency of a minor.

It is definitely some kind of forsaken ancient technology. And on the rare cases you can get them to release their knowledge, they make horrible funkadelic noises.

...We're probably gonna need the help, huh? If something happens. When something happens. I wonder why it's just us, though. I don't think she's the bad guy behind it all, even if she's always working.

Hmmm...it sounds like you could use them to summon a rare monster or something. Like a bear. Would it be better to deal with a bear or with a strange cellphone app? It's kind of a toss-up. I could probably fight off a bear, but it'd be risky.

Nah, it's totally not her style. She's like the last person I'd think would be behind it.

Actually, you'd probably scare the bear off with it, maybe summon a few senior citizens with the urge to boogie.

Yeah, the mom is usually never the villain unless she's kidnapping puppies or something drastic like that.

She's just worried about all the mom things in life, you know? That's why she came with a fun uncle.

It's a good thing you're the uncle on her side of the family. I don't think my dad's brothers even send us money for holidays anymore.
